Look what my friend forwarded me today–pretty nifty, no? There are Manhattan, Chicago, Boston, and San Fran posters, too . . . well, they're on the way. Check 'em out here: http://orkposters.com/
Going along with Kelly's post, check out the Covers Blog by the design firm FWIS. This has gotten pretty popular, and one of the papers in NYC has added them to their books and literature page to do cover reviews as well.
They're firm website is pretty cool too... www.fwis.com. I like the way they so easily display all of their work
And here is a nifty book site I found Friday . . . you probably won't want anything to do with it tonight, but when you get around to thinking about our LAST book, it could be a handy bit of inspiration:
Check out this great artist I just found! Her work is gorgeous! She has some great blackletter sculptures, and I love some of the lettering she employs on other pieces —the "Do you want to boogie woogie?" pitcher is especially great. But couldn't you see this piece on my mantle, you know, if I had one?
Kelly must be trying to keep herself from getting a fingernail STD or something, 'cause she's been wearing these finger-condoms all day... as it turns out she should have bought the x-large...
Given a number of photos and words to choose from , Merritt had 2 days to record a song coupling one image and word. The entire process is documented and the song is pretty good. Also get ready for a new Magnetic Fields album Jan 15.
